House Poetry Recitation Competition

Our Half Term finished with a house competition.

All the children were asked to learn a poem and perform it to the rest of the school. The performances were carried out in house groups, representing age ranges across the school. Pre-prep and Reception performed Eleanor Farjeon’s ‘There are big waves'; Years One and Two performed the delightful 'Alien Lullaby' by Sue Cowling; Years Three and Four presented ‘It’s a rap’, by Tony Mitton. We rounded off with years Five and Six's rendition of ‘Maths My Way’, by Carol Diggory Shields.

The children devised their own actions and use of props, and put so much effort into their delivery. Well done to you all.
