Weekly Update

Week One

St John's Priory Update April 16 th 2010

After only three days of term there is little to report, although the boys and girls have made a very encouraging start, especially on the games field with cricket and rounders.

Clubs

All clubs start this week and I attach a copy of the lists. Due to large numbers we are running some clubs half-termly. Please see Kate for any further information.

Charity

We are collecting used postage stamps for the Hearing Dogs charity this term. Please bring any you have into the school office.

Cake Sale

Year 6 are holding a cake sale in aid of IMPS, the Injury Minimisation Programme for Schools on Friday 23 rd April.

Siblings and Friends

We are holding some fun play afternoons this term for our younger siblings and their friends by your invitation. Please do come along. We are hoping this will take place on the lawn and will be a lovely opportunity for our younger siblings to enjoy playing at SJPS and for parents to meet informally.

Barbeque

It is our intention to hold an informal barbeque on occasional Fridays this term. This week will be the first of these and the barbie will be going on the lawn (weather permitting) and everyone is welcome to join us for a burger or two and a play / chat at the end of school before the weekend. Please do come and join us.

Uniform

We are expecting cricket jersey orders to be delivered on Monday.

Reminders

Instrumental lessons commence this week.

Could all children in the Senior Play please endeavour to bring their scripts to school on the appropriate days?
